My Dear Disciples,
I offer you words of encouragement today as it has been placed on my heart. For many of us, life is constantly in a state of movement, and it can feel overwhelming at times. For others, life could feel like it is at a standstill. I mean dead in the tracks, no movement, no action, same routine different day. I know for me; life is in between a state of both– and it’s been that way for quite some time now, like almost a year (just kidding, it feels that way though). I don’t know about you, but it can be frustrating when you’re in a place of waiting but add chaos to that.
Frustration + Chaos = Mayhem, which is a recipe for destruction, IF I decide to focus on it. Say these words with me: IT’S NOT WORTH IT.
Take my advice: It’s not worth the mental anguish that you take yourself through by focusing on every circumstance that you may be surrounded by. Don’t make your circumstances big, MAKE GOD BIG.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m human and I miss the mark, too. At times, I can be impatient and impulsive and those are not good qualities to cultivate because they are not fruits of the spirit, but of the flesh. I am now aware that God has me here, to prune off those qualities because to be honest, God is not impatient or impulsive. He is a strategic God, who waits patiently for His children to come to him. He waits patiently for us and that I’m thankful for.
A Patient God.
I find myself with a constant reminder that since I am made in the image of God, called to walk this Christian journey out properly, then that requires me to die to my flesh everyday. It’s not a fun process, but it is a necessary one. When we take a stand with Christ, we take a stand against ourselves and the world. Let me explain what I mean. We fight everyday against what our ‘flesh’ wants. The Bible says that we were born into this world, but we are not of this world which means our flesh is of this world. It desires what this world wants: lust, pride, covetousness, jealousy, backbiting, greed. That is all of the flesh. But when we decide to follow Christ, we are required to walk by the Spirit and use our Helper that dwells inside of us. It’s like the good/bad angel that we have all seen at some point; however, it’s an inward battle. What encourages me is that we have all the weapons needed to fight this battle, it’s just a matter of deciding who’s going to win today: your flesh or your spirit?
My prayer is that you have chose the latter of that question. God’s promises are YES and AMEN. Remember, we are the righteous nation—so keep the faith. As you keep your faith, God will keep you in His Perfect Peace! I want to challenge you today to make God big and not your circumstances and watch how much peaceful your days will be.
Let us Pray!
I thank you for the person reading this post. I thank you that you are the Prince of Peace and that as we come to you and lay down every circumstance at your feet, we can trust that you will meet all of our needs. I thank you that you are our Lord and our Savior and in You, we lack nothing. As we make You big, God, pour out your Spirit and show off in every situation that we are facing today. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done! Amen!
A Time for Salvation
Prayer for Salvation:
If you’ve gotten this far, and you wondering who is this God that she keeps referencing. I want to let you know that you have been led here by God’s divine order. If this message resonated with you and you would like to know this Jesus that I speak about, this is an opportunity for you to meet my Jesus. Let me just let you know that you don’t have to have it all together. Jesus says come as you are, and He will do the refining.
The Bible tells us that if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you are saved. If you want to give your life to Christ, then make this declaration:
It’s me. I repent of my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is Lord. I believe He lived, died, and rose again just for me. Now Holy Spirit come into my heart. Transform me in you. Amen.
If you’ve made this declaration, I want to welcome you into the Kingdom of God. Your name has been written in the Book of Life. I rejoice over your salvation, but most importantly the Heavens are rejoicing for your salvation. You have made the best decision that you will ever make. God is so proud of and so am I.
If you gave your life to Christ today, I want to partner with you. I want to walk this life out with you and be here for you. Please leave your name in the comments so that I can partner with you in the name of the Lord.
Until next time,
